The Richardson–Plano Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma proudly honors the life and legacy of Hannah Nicole Pittman Wood through the Kappa Scholarship Fund.
Hannah entered Heaven on April 18, 2026, after a courageous ten-month battle with acute necrotizing pancreatitis, caused by complications from gallstones, which led to a long and difficult medical journey. Through every challenge, she embodied grace, faith, resilience, and unwavering strength, anchored always by the words she lived by:
Those words became her rallying cry, written on hospital whiteboards, spoken before difficult steps, and lived out with quiet bravery until the very end.
A proud graduate of Baylor University and devoted member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Hannah lived a life centered on service, creativity, friendship, and faith. During her years at Baylor, she poured herself into campus leadership and philanthropy, participating in All-University Sing, Student Foundation, and serving as Chair of Baylor Bear-A-Thon. After graduation, she continued giving back through the Richardson–Plano Alumnae Association, serving faithfully as Membership Officer and contributing to numerous chapter initiatives.
Hannah had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and deeply loved. Whether through mentoring others, creating beautiful gatherings, serving in ministry, or encouraging friends through difficult seasons, she led with compassion and intentionality. Her joyful spirit, artistic heart, and servant leadership left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
This scholarship fund was established to continue Hannah's legacy by supporting young women who reflect the same qualities she exemplified so beautifully: leadership, kindness, perseverance, generosity, faith, and a commitment to serving others.
